Celebrating our 3rd anniversary

Today marks the 3rd anniversary of launching Moncur Consulting. In the last year, with the worst of COVID in the rearview mirror, business has accelerated rapidly and I am full of gratitude for where we are today.

In the last 3 years, we have touched a great variety of projects, languages and subject matters and worked with clients and team members from around the world.

Languages Served

From Albanian and Amharic to Chuukese, Mixtec, Samoan and Spanish to Ukrainian and Vietnamese

Global Team Members

From Brazil and Canada to Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Italy and Puerto Rico to Ukraine and the USA

Projects Delivered on Time

Year-over-year project numbers are steady but their scope increased to more than triple our revenue

On the translation and transcreation side of the business, we started in 2019 with localizing corporate communications and lab testing materials for global markets, both for leading Minnesota companies. In 2020, 90% of our work turned to translating COVID-related materials at lightning speeds to inform US ethnic communities. 2021 and even more so 2022 have seen an increase in other subject matters again, such as cultural/global name & logo evaluations, legal, financial/Fintech, healthcare, agriculture, political campaigns, and consumer products. Target audiences remain US ethnic communities along with professionals around the globe. Primary platforms and media are websites, apps, social media posts, fliers, factsheets, and brochures. Our ideal clients are entrepreneurs, agencies, and small businesses to mid-size organizations from a variety of industries.

On the technology side of the business, we continued to support our friends at Bodyshifters on their digital presence, finished the localization of the Migraine Insight App into German, and started working with a new client to maintain several languages on their WordPress site (via WPML) and their dedicated Unbounce landing pages.

While the amount of projects we handled year-over-year has remained steady, we managed a number of very sizeable projects, including a webpage and two factsheets in 37 languages spoken in the Pacific Northwest to help parents and other caregivers support teens who may be struggling with mental health and substance abuse. We are immensely honored to be part of making a difference in people’s lives with so much of our work.

None of this would have been possible without our clients who have placed their trust in us over the last three years or without our global team members who help deliver the kind of top-notch work we pride ourselves in.

As in previous years, I have thoroughly enjoyed deepening existing relationships and forging new partnerships with you all and I can’t wait to see what the next 12 months will hold. Either way, I hope you will be a part of it.

Thank you for being part of our journey!
