Uta Moncur
President
Born in Germany and rooted in Minnesota, Uta Moncur is a translator by training with a lifelong commitment to helping people connect and belong, inside and outside of work. The analytical and tech-savvy side of her brain excels at grasping complex scenarios, troubleshooting, and finding results-oriented solutions.
With a degree in technical translation and over 20 years of experience in the translation/localization industry, she has held positions from German Translator to Technology Director to VP of Operations, gaining skills in translation, transcreation & localization, software & technology, project & account management, production, and business management.
Over the years, Uta has worked with agency clients, such as GMMB, Martin Williams, Merkley+Partners, Momentum Worldwide, as well as enterprise clients across a variety of industries, including Abbott (formerly St. Jude Medical), General Mills, Horton, Landscape Structures, Manhattan Toy, Mayo Medical Laboratories, Mercedes-Benz, Pfizer Animal Health, SeaWorld, Sunshine Heart, Target and TCF Bank.
In 2019, Uta created Moncur Consulting based on the firm belief that she can make a bigger impact on your business this way. Less overhead, less red tape, but instead direct access to my knowledge, experience and creativity in finding solutions that suit your needs. In addition, our global network of accomplished and trusted language professionals allows us to provide exactly the right pairing of language and subject matter expertise for your project.
As the founder of Moncur Consulting, she brings a meticulous eye to linguistic accuracy and cultural nuance. Her entrepreneurial spirit continuously pushes for organizational and process optimization while delivering solutions that exceed client expectations.
Driven by precision, resilience, curiosity, and a passion for contributing to the spaces she inhabits, Uta thrives on solving complex projects, teaching others how to ski, helping her team sail faster, or supporting her two boys in whatever makes their hearts sing.
